The YPF performance which was carried out during the year 1999 – 2000 is as follows:

Publication of a quarterly scientific News Update which consists of different sections as introducing the latest national and international papers, softwares and irrigation & drainage projects under operation and / or construction.

Permanent cooperation with the working groups for establishing required database needed by each group.

Holding the technical workshop on “Utilization of Saline Water Management” with the main titles as follows:

• Utilization management for saline water in agriculture.

• Salt tolerate crop species.

• Utilization of surface and subsurface wastewater.
• Environmental impacts of saline water utilization.
• Activating student chapters in the universities throughout the country.
• Holding training sessions in the universities.
• Translating “World Water Supply And Demand (1990-2025)” Published by IWMI into Farsi.
• Holding books exhibitions in the universities.
• Participating in the international sessions of YPF section.
• Providing an article submitted to the 17th ICID International Congress.
